Happy World Press Freedom Day.

*Journalism is called the fourth arm of democracy. But unfortunately, in India, the world's largest democracy, journalism is a marginalized, enslaved medium. Rather than saying that the freedom of journalism has been taken away, it is better to say that the journalists surrendered. Added to this is government repression India is suffering at 161st position out of 180 countries in the World Press Freedom Index.*

*Despite this, there is a force of brave journalists who are committed to the principles of journalism and who are spreading the truth and working hard to make people aware. I thank him for his exemplary service to the country and wish him a very Happy World Press Freedom Day.*
